It's common to experience the joie de vivre while traveling. We grasp the rarity and transience of being there......... At home, we somehow don't see the specialness of a place and a time that won't last forever. Strangers meet and strike up unexpected alliances; in the end, they go their separate ways, but changed forever by those they have met.

Banff is named after Banffshire, Scotland the birthplace of the first settlers who built the Canadian Pacific Railroad through the Canadian Rockie mountains. Banff has an elevation of 4,537 ft making it the highest town in the rockies.

Banff's downtown shops look like chalets.

My favorite shop is the Candy shop.
